Why, oh Why Didn't This Idea Come to Me Sooner?

So, I'm taking my time through the temporary restart, still near the start of the first game week. I've written some rough entries which are posted in a storage account I have here at Dreamwidth. It seems like after all these years I can't not write something alongside the game. It's like I have to write out the part of Morrowind that takes place in my imagination.
(I know I don't literally have to, it's just something I'm strongly compelled to do.)
As I wrote the Day Two entry I ended up kicking myself, because Aeronwen made a choice that really made sense for the character and frankly I don't know why I never thought to do it before.
When she meets Crassius she is too intimidated by him to say that she doesn't feel she would fit in with any of the guilds, nor is she strong enough to be a freelance adventurer. She's too scared to say that she's been a sheltered by her father until very recently and was in fact thrown out of his home that very day. She leaves Crassius' house, goes and locks herself in her rented room and cries herself to sleep. That part stays the same.
The following morning she still didn't know what the hell she was going to do...and for the first time in all these playthroughs I had her go to the Temple and confide in a priest. And a really great conversation happened between the characters. Aeronwen became comfortable with the priest, and although she certainly left out the details of her royal upbringing, she did confide that she had never been out on her own before, had been protected by her father, but now didn't have the slightest idea of how she was going to live.
The kindly priest steers her in the right direction; advises her to seek out the agents for the smaller guilds, tells her that Hla Oad is a somewhat short walk to the west. She can hunt the crabs and earning a living for herself while providing food for those who can't hunt. And with this priest being the MC crafting trainer, Aeronwen has a way to improve her crafting skills to make useful items to sell.
So I'm really kicking myself over this belated idea. For one thing; it makes things easier for Aeronwen. Instead of wandering around aimlessly until she accidentally finds work she can do over in Seyda Neen, she is pointed in a specific direction by the priest and aided by the Temple in forming her new life. She doesn't even bother going to the Blades Trainers. She just calms down and follows the priest's advice and has an objective to work toward instead of just blundering around.
Two; this was a great opportunity to show the kindness and compassion of the Temple priests. Almsivi may be out of sight and not interacting with their followers anymore, but the priests are still there, working hard to provide aid for those who need it.
