Redecorating the Seaside Cottage
Not long ago I looked at the Seaside Cottage in the game and found that with Tamriel Rebuilt's Mainland mod added, there are terrible tears in the world around the cottage. This isn't anyone's fault since Korana made the Seaside Cottage long before the mainland mod was released.
I debated whether or not to keep the Seaside Cottage in the game. To be honest my character never actually uses it. It's out in the middle of the sea and the interior is a little too crowded. Charming, but crowded. But at the same time the interior is so cleverly made that I thought it was a shame to discard the mod entirely. So...I'm working on moving the exterior to a more practical location. In the mean time I've been playing around with redecorating the interior and I'm pleased with what I managed to come up with. I think Aeronwen and Neldor would like it as well.
Cut for screens:
I started with removing all but the most basic furniture from the interior so I can elements from Morrowind Crafting, Korana's Bath Shop, Kayla's Knick-Knacks, and the painting pack to decorate the cottage in game. That way it will be possible for the cottage to have different looks and color schemes.
Since taking this screen, I have removed the table along the wall beneath the horse painting. I think that would be a good spot for a Morrowind Crafting shelf to display the crystal eggs.
The kitchen area. I added some counters, the hutch and an extra cabinet, plus a NoM stove. I'll also probably add a NoM water source. Later in game I can add a small table and some chairs from MC (Morrowind Crafting) and Kayla's Knick Knacks.

Another view of the living area. Although not visible in the screen, I added a "filled bookshelf" container near the inside of the door. I'm really surprised at how roomy the place is with the walk-through curtains removed and less clutter.

To create the illusion that the cottage is no longer in the middle of the sea, I added some tall shrubs outside the windows. I think a MC cedar chest would go well at the foot of the bed. There is also plenty of room for other MC containers should the need arise.

The bathing area, decorated with items from Korana's Bath Shop. For this play-test I used rose/light pink items which I thought looked nice with the wood of the interior. I may have to add a trapdoor in the floor and a storage cellar since Aeronwen and I will likely want to change the colors from time to time and we'll need a place to store items that are not currently being used.

So, this is very much the humble home that Aeronwen and Neldor are looking for. Now just to settle on a place to put it. ;)

I've thought of moving the cottage to somewhere on one of the islands near Sadrith Mora.

Of course it will be Neloth's old cottage, not visited for a long while.
