I'll Need to Do a Version 2 of the Clever Prank Mod

Lesson learned; don't just sit down at the computer and make changes to a mod after being out all day getting supplies that we can't get locally.
I had added Vendyne and Alandis to the mod, but forgot to open Wyre Bash first and change the mod's dependencies back from the esps to the esm. As a result the mod became sickly and was yellow in the Wyre Bash list. It would play, but the children don't display correctly.
Version 2 will be made from scratch. This is not as bad as it sounds. I know how to quickly make all the CM companion NPCs, then it's a simple thing to import the faces from each of the player files and copy those face settings to each character. I can redo the whole mod in less than an hour.
The characters should be put in a different interior cells since the Floating Bowl became too crowded for all of them.
Once again it shows just how delicate and fussy the Oblivion CS is compared to the Morrowind toolset.
Edited to add: The NPCs are all redone already. Mostly. They are in the Partners and Player faction and have starting items in their inventories. Now it's the matter of importing the appearances and pasting them to each character.
So again, doing Version Two isn't as bad is it sounds.
