Off Topic: Enough Already, 2022!

So, my mother is once again in the hospital (she was admitted last week). The doctors can't get her breathing under control and overall can't seem to figure out what is going on with her.

I swear, 2022 has been one long Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop.

I found a wonderful quote from Tolkien, "The birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus means that one day everything sad will come untrue."

I know. The other day I mentioned to my husband that my grandparents would be shocked if it were possible for them to see the way things are now. They wouldn't recognize this country.
