Customizing the Shop

I wasn't sure if customizing the inside of the Trade and Commerce shop would work, but it did.

Using some elements from Highwood Farm, I changed the inside of the shop to reflect the sort of things that Aeronwen would sell; her pottery, potions and perfumes, Highwood Honey and Nut bars, and the Highwood wines and maple brandy. Of course I had to add the lovely elk statues to the display area as well as in the office.



And I couldn't resist adding an elk statue to the exterior, just to make the place look special.



Once a month they would need to hitch up a draft horse to the cart and delivery their latest batch of goods to their shop.



It's going to be quite a while before they can afford any of this. No doubt Uncle Aengoth would be happy to give them a loan (ancestors know that he can afford it), but I think Aeronwen and Neldor want to at least try to earn all of this themselves.

Nice shot of where the store is so I can see exactly where it is.

I recall once having to move a store because its building was conflicting with another mod. It was easy. All that matters are the door teleport arrows. So I wonder how easy it is to move the store outside of Chorrol.

That's one thing about Oblivion you get so much stuff as you level up it was a lot of work to sell it. It's worse than Morrowind in that respect. A mod like this would help immensely.

If I have the time and can come up with a CM minor quests mod for Oblivion I'll send you it. That kind of mod makes it easier to get a bit of gold at lower levels for hunting and gathering.

From reading the comments, I see a number of people have moved it. One person said they placed it at Pell's Gate, which was an area I was thinking of.

That sounds like a good place. Easy to get to and unlikely to conflict with other mods.

I found a nice little spot for it behind the Sleeping Mare, surrounded by trees and near the water. It looks rather nice there.
